In September 2022 the collages had the pleasure of being hung in the wonderful Cafelito café, a café-gallery in the Lavapiés neighborhood on Sombrerete Street. A perfect everyday space, the collages engaged with many café-goers who love coffee and everyday conversations.

Under the title “What Deer You?”, the exhibition gathered a series of collages that explored cutouts seeking the absurd and the humorous. The pieces mix images I cut that form part of a whole which sometimes presents an expected harmony and sometimes unexpected ones, inviting the viewer to look and imagine what they might be saying!

Exhibiting in my favorite café was a very special experience, since it was the first time and Julito helped me and stayed calm so I could take my time and enjoy the installation. There’s always a first time! To those people who gave me a little of their time and told me so, thank you!
