Exhibition at Antonio Mingote Public Library

Come see the exhibition and discover how images play together.

The Antonio Mingote Exhibition hosted “Recortes de Humor” in Madrid for the first time. Still, it wasn’t just any place for me. It’s the neighborhood library where I studied for my degree exams, where I borrowed books and films, and where I spent many hours. Exhibiting there gave me a special confidence, a feeling that everything would go well.

The space is impressive: the staircase landings allow anyone going up to the first or second floor to encounter the collages almost without looking for them. I liked to think that someone would go for a book and, suddenly, come across them.

At first I was afraid. It’s a large place, with wide walls and a strong presence, and I didn’t know how my collages would breathe in such a space. Everything turned out great!
